A "Triple Threat" in show business is a performer with all the goods-a performer who sings and dances and acts. James T. Lane is that performer. Directed and Choreographed by Kenny Ingram, and Written by James T. Lane, Triple Threat was presented by Zeiders American Dream Theater. And Later moved Off Broadway to Theatre Row produced by Traverse 32. Triple Threat was nominated for 5 Audelco Awards, Kenny was nominated for Best Direction. James T Lane won for Best Solo Performer. Triple Threat shined in Times Square on one of the biggest LED Screens and also had the chance to open up the stock market with Mr. Lane hitting the gavel.

Blues in the Night - Porchlight Music Theatre!

 

Kenny Ingram Directed and Choreographed Blues in the Night at Porchlight Music Theatre in Chicago and won a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Director of a Revue. He also won a Black Theatre Alliance Award for Best Choreography. Blues in the Night is a Musical Revue conceived by Sheldon Epps. And was Tony Nominated in 1987. ’Blues in the Night’: Porchlight’s cast captives with the music of saints and sinners

From red hot to icy cool, Porchlight Music Theatre’s thrilling “Blues in the Night” travels the complete spectrum of its titular genre. Long story short: If you are a human who experiences emotions, you will revel in director-choreographer Kenny Ingram’s production.

 
 
 

During the Pandemic, Kenny directed and choreographed a Zoom Musical called “The Moment” for CPA Theatricals. which received a Diploma Award from the White Nights Film Festival in Russia. The Moment took a look at teens and how they would deal with life complications, successes, decision making everyday challenges. This short musical film had music by Dylan MarcAurele.

Chicago Shakes wanted to start Summer Musicals. Kenny had the opportunity to pioneer bringing Musicals to Chicago’s Navy Pier in 2000. Kenny directed and choreographed Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Marriott Lincolnshire theatre in Chicago and because of its success it moved to Chicago Shakes that Summer at Navy Pier.

Kenny Also Served as the Assistant Residential Director for Hal Prince’s Showboat at The Chicago Auditorium Theatre in 1996 and was in charge of staging the Black Ensemble for the tour for Susan Stroman. He was instrumental on staging the Broadway Company for the tour after the show closed on Broadway at The Gershwin Theatre

 
 
 

Award-Winning Choreography

From his dance origins at Lou Conte Dance Studio in Chicago — where he was awarded a dance scholarship — Kenny Ingram has become a loved and celebrated choreographer.

Kenny recently received the New York Musical Festival Award for Outstanding Choreography for his work in Emojiland, and has previously won the Joseph Jefferson Award for choreographing 42nd Street.

Already the proud recipient of the New York Musical Festival Award for Outstanding Choreography, Kenny Ingram is incredibly excited that his work on Emojiland helped it become a New York Times Critics Pick.
